Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) was proposed in Japan in 1980's, and a national project for FGMs study was launched in 1986 for the fist time in the world. In the beginning of 1990's , FGMs studies were getting evolved globally. Thereafter, by the year 1999, several national projects on FGMs had been carried out by Science and Technology Agency, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. As a result, many research achievements have been presented not only in the domestic symposiums held in Japan but also in the international symposiums which was first held in 1990, and since then, it has been held once in two years. Preparation of a database had been expected in order to make use of such data and have them as common properties of all the FGMs researchers. National Aerospace Laboratory (presently known as Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency),that has been leading FGMs study in Japan, developed a database of the information of FGMs researches carried out in and after 1986 in a collaboration with Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). By today, 2,034 research papers are included in FGMs Database. FGMs Database provides you who are researchers, engineers, students and others interested in FGMs with a library of the research paper information.
You can search for abstracts and details of research papers, researchers, institutions, graphs and tables. Free PDF download of the registered papers is also available (some are the exceptions due to the copyrights.)
